PPF Costa Rica

Looking for traditional PPF?

If you arrived searching for “PPF Costa Rica,” you want to protect your paint from chips, scratches and contamination. Ngenco PPS starts with that same goal and takes it further: it creates a continuous protective membrane with no adhesive, cuts or visible edges, covering complex curves and the full vehicle with a uniform finish.

PPF protects with a sheet. Ngenco PPS protects with a spray-applied layer that follows every contour.

What is Ngenco?

Ngenco, awarded Best New Product at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, is the evolution of traditional PPF. While the best paint protection films on the market require precise cutting that leaves visible seam lines at the edges, Ngenco is spray-applied and bonds perfectly to every contour of the vehicle, with no lines, no lifting and no exposed areas. It surpasses any conventional PPF in protection against stone chips, UV rays and environmental contaminants, with the advantage of covering the entire vehicle and being 100% removable without leaving any residue on the original paint.

GAS Paint & Detail Workshop is an authorized Ngenco installer and official distributor in Costa Rica. Our team has been trained directly by the brand to provide professional installation to its standards.

PPF and PPS Guide for Costa Rica

PPF means Paint Protection Film: a polyurethane sheet installed over the original paint. PPS means Paint Protection Spray: a protective membrane sprayed and cured directly on the vehicle. Both aim to protect paint, but they are not equivalent solutions: Ngenco PPS removes the limitations inherent to installing precut film.

Why Ngenco PPS is superior to traditional PPF

Ngenco PPS is sprayed over every contour to create a continuous barrier with no seams, edges, cut lines or exposed areas. Because it uses no adhesive, it integrates visually with the finish, adapts to complex shapes and can be professionally removed without residue. Beyond clear protection, it supports gloss, satin or matte finishes and reversible color changes. Traditional PPF remains a useful protective film, but PPS is the more complete, uniform and versatile solution.

Durability and warranty

Service life depends on the protected area, vehicle use, climate exposure, maintenance and application conditions. Before work begins, we inspect the vehicle and provide the scope, aftercare requirements and warranty applicable to the quoted installation in writing.

Traditional PPF vs. Ngenco PPS

Both systems can protect paint, but their construction, finish and repair process differ. This comparison helps you choose with clear expectations.

Visible seams and cut lines

Traditional PPF

Edges, cuts or seams may remain visible, especially on complex panels.

Ngenco PPS

Creates a continuous membrane with no seams, cut lines or visible edges.

Complex curves, edges and shapes

Traditional PPF

Requires templates, stretching, cuts and relief points to conform to the surface.

Ngenco PPS

Is sprayed directly over every curve, edge and contour.

Panel or full-vehicle coverage

Traditional PPF

Can cover individual panels or the full vehicle using multiple pieces of film.

Ngenco PPS

Can cover selected areas or the full vehicle with a continuous, uniform finish.

Removal without residue

Traditional PPF

Is removable but uses adhesive; results depend on film quality, age and paint condition.

Ngenco PPS

Uses no adhesive and can be professionally removed without residue on the original paint.

Self-healing properties

Traditional PPF

Premium films may self-heal light surface marks with heat.

Ngenco PPS

Its surface also has self-healing properties for light marks and wash swirls.

Repair when damaged

Traditional PPF

Deep damage normally requires removing and replacing the affected piece of film.

Ngenco PPS

Light marks may self-heal; deeper damage can be assessed for localized repair and professional reapplication.

Ngenco PPS Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Ngenco PPS last?
It can provide protection for several years, but actual service life depends on the protected areas, exposure, mileage and maintenance. We inspect each vehicle and specify the applicable coverage and warranty in the quote.
Why is Ngenco PPS superior to traditional PPF?
Because it creates a continuous membrane that follows every vehicle contour without cuts, seams, visible edges or adhesive. It also supports clear finishes or reversible color changes and can be professionally removed without leaving residue.
What is the difference between Ngenco PPS and ceramic coating?
Ngenco PPS forms a high-build physical barrier designed to resist impacts, abrasion and contaminants. Ceramic coating is a much thinner layer focused mainly on gloss, water repellency and easier cleaning; it does not replace the physical protection of PPS.
How do I maintain Ngenco protection?
Use careful washing with pH-neutral products, avoid abrasive chemicals and follow the curing and maintenance guidance provided after installation.
Are PPF and PPS the same thing?
No. Both create a physical barrier that protects paint, but PPF is a polyurethane sheet installed with adhesive, while PPS is a membrane sprayed and cured on the vehicle. Premium PPF can also be self-healing and removable; Ngenco PPS has the advantage of continuous coverage with no cuts or visible edges and better conformity to complex shapes.
Why choose PPS instead of traditional PPF?
Ngenco PPS is the better choice when you want a uniform finish, coverage across complex curves and edges, seamless full-vehicle protection and the option of a clear finish or reversible color change. Traditional PPF can still be practical when someone wants precut film only on limited areas. The right choice depends on the area, desired finish and vehicle use.
